Riad Darino is not just a place to sleep — it is a place to arrive, to breathe, and to belong. Tucked within a quiet derb of the ancient Marrakech Medina, our five rooms each bear the name and soul of a city that shaped Morocco's identity.
Every zellige tile was hand-placed, every cedarwood door restored with patience and love. The riad's central courtyard, with its fragrant orange tree and the soothing sound of trickling water, is the beating heart of our house.

The Rose City Cocoon
The most intimate room in the riad — a true cocoon. Nestled on the ground floor, the Marrakech room harnesses the natural thermal mass of century-old riad walls: instinctively cool at the height of summer, gently warm through winter evenings. A king bed, a private bathroom and a dedicated relaxation nook make this a sanctuary where the quiet of the Medina feels closest.

Imperial City
One of the grandest rooms in the riad, the Meknes room is a living tribute to Moroccan imperial craftsmanship. Its walls are clad in tadelakt — a centuries-old natural lime plaster, hand-polished with black soap, that seems to absorb the warmth of history itself. A king bed or two generous individual beds, an elegant dresser with wall mirror, and a relaxation corner furnish this ground-floor sanctuary. The large private bathroom, lined with traditional Moroccan tilework, completes the imperial experience.

Wind & Ocean
A charming room with real soul — and the most coveted view in the riad. Located on the first floor, the Essaouira opens onto two worlds at once: a window framing the authentic life of a Medina alley, and another looking down onto the tranquil riad courtyard. Light pours in from both sides, giving the space the luminous, airy spirit of its blue-and-white Atlantic namesake. A king bed, an elegant vanity with mirror, a generous living area and a private bathroom make this room as practical as it is poetic.

Atlas Valley
A kindred spirit to the Meknes room, but elevated — in every sense. Sitting on the first floor, the Ourika looks down from the gallery onto the riad's central courtyard: the orange tree, the fountain, the shifting light beneath the open sky. Tadelakt-clad walls bring the same earthy warmth and centuries-old craft as its ground-floor counterpart, while the upstairs position fills the room with generous natural light and a quiet sense of elevation. A king bed or two individual beds, an elegant dresser with mirror, a relaxation corner and a private bathroom complete the picture.

The Golden Sahara
The desert-inspired counterpart to the Essaouira room — warmer, more focused, more deeply intimate. Also on the first floor, the Merzouga turns its gaze inward: a single window opening onto the riad's central courtyard, like a desert horizon that draws the eye to one place and holds it there. No twin option — just one generous king bed, made for deep rest. A relaxation nook and a private bathroom complete a room designed above all for couples seeking stillness in the heart of the Medina.
